Get ready to see the father-son duo of Rishi and Ranbir Kapoor playing son and dad on screen. It is producer Vashu Bhagnani who has pulled off the coup by signing them together for a new project. Discloses Vashu, "At first I spoke to both of them about casting them together in a film. When I found that they were open to the idea, I met them again, this time with a story."
Bingo. It struck a chord and father and son were on. Vashi is suitably gratified. "I was told that many other filmmakers approached them, but I am glad they liked my story idea the most and signed my film," he smiles happily. The screenplay, dialogues and the rest of the cast are being finalized and they will start shooting mid-next year since Ranbir is busy till then with other films.
That makes two of them – Vashu’s just as busy and has a lot on his plate, including two other movies, Do Not Disturb directed by David Dhwan, starring Govinda, Titeish Deshmukh and Sushmita Sen, and his son Jacky’s debut film, Kal Kisne Dekha.
